Donnie Victor Rains II

    Donnie Victor Rains, II, son of Linda Sue Rains and the late Donnie Victor Rains, was born in Pontiac, Michigan on May 28, 1969.  He entered eternal life Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at his residence in Potter’s Fork, Kentucky from natural causes, being 50 years, 7 months and 25 days of age at his passing.

     Donnie was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.  He enjoyed fishing, ATV riding, working on vehicles, watching U.K. sports and spending time with family and friends.

    Other than by his father, Donnie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Victor and Reubena Rains and by his maternal grandparents:  Britton and Callie Stidham. 

     He is survived by his mother, Linda Sue Rains of Potter’s Fork;  one son, Donnie Victor Rains, III (Haley) of Berea, Kentucky; one daughter, Leah McKenzie Rains of Berea, Kentucky; one brother, Robert Rains (Priscilla) of Dorton, Kentucky; one sister, Melinda Stevans (William) of Payne Gap, Kentucky; former spouse, Tammy Rains of Berea, Kentucky.

    Also surviving: one uncle, Jerry Rains of Fleming-Neon, Kentucky; Three aunts:  Sue Lundy of Pontiac, Michigan; Faye Powell of Wabash, Indiana and Kaye Brown of Potter’s Fork, Kentucky; along with a host of other family and many friends to mourn his passing.

    Visitation for Mr. Rains will be held at the Haymond Freewill Baptist Church from 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2020; throughout the day on Thursday, January 24, 2020 with a service at 7:00 PM.

     Funeral services for Mr. Rains will be conducted also from the Haymond Freewill Baptist Church on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Danny Mullins and other ministers officiating.

    Interment will follow in the Whitaker Cemetery at Whitaker, Kentucky.
